Desperate with my career prospect, I feel quite fortunate that I got into Kenvic for their introduction of me into the logistics industry. The school admin person, Ms. Guan, talked to me on the second day I approached them, and tried referred me for many job opportunities from Day1. She also spent time with me going over interviews, polishing CV, and talking to business owners. Honestly, as a PhD, I originally felt that I was good in these things, but it turned out that she did have some real industry-insider perspective to share.

So I took the course, and made use of the opportunities to talk with every single lecturers - from DB, compliance firm, custom broker, and logistics company owners. This does not necessarily give you a job, but definitely a good initial grasp of the network. Dora, the core lecturer, is particularly helpful in giving career advice. Ms. Guan ended up finding a job for me in NYC, but I also found my own job in an international shipping agency firm, as a management trainee, with a beginning starting salary at 75k.
